The coral reefs around Ishigaki and the other Yaeyama islands are famous for their beauty and for the variety and number of fish and marine life that live there and are supported by the coral and its fellow inhabitants. In addition, there are several pathways for manta rays as they pass through the area.  This tour will not only seek out the best spots to visit to see the different sorts of coral and the sub tropical fish, but also visit Maboroshi no shima, a small coral island that appears and then disappears as the tide ebbs and flows. The trip will seek to catch this area at an appropriate time and you will stay here typically for 30 minutes) and you will also visit other key spots according to the season and weather conditions (snorkeling for between 40 minutes and an hour).

This tour can be undertaken from 9:00 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 17:00, including transport time to the snorkeling spots. The trip starts with you being collected from your hotel (or if not central, from Ishigaki Port) . There you will be given full instructions and supplied with appropriate gear (eg wet suits, snorkel, face masks etc). We then take the boat to the sites selected for snorkeling that day.

• • Water depth will be higher than your height.
  • The tour may be cancelled in adverse weather conditions.
  • Please wear a life jacket during the tour or you cannot join the tour.
  • This tour is not suitable for those under 3 years old.

• Participants must be under 60.
• Please bring a set of your clothes and towels.
• Please put on your swimsuits under your clothes; as changing facilities are limited, you are advised to wear swimming costumes when you arrive, beneath your day clothing.
